Amy Bossons

Aspiring Interior Designer
Amy Bossons
I'm Amy, an autistic, animal loving vegan, who's Starbucks-driven and this is my portfolio.
As an aspiring young interior designer, I'm very passionate about sustainable design.
But what is sustainable design? Creating a design that has a low waste and can be recycled afterwards. It has a low environmental impact, using renewable resources, whilst still providing high quality.

Derby Enterprise Centre Dining Space
During my 2nd year at the University of Derby, the university was approached by the Enterprise Centre to redesign their dining space. They requested that we brought the outside in with our designs and created a space that would be used more.

Open Plan Kitchen-Living Room
The brief was to design an open plan space so that the user could have more room for friends to come around.
Phoenix Centre Café
The Phoenix Centre is design to help teach and reintroduce the homeless back into society.
The Cafe space is comprised of a variation of different seating areas, to ensure a multi-function use of the space, booths seating helps give users privacy whilst still being able to engage with the rest of the space. The booths made of bamboo to help reduce the reverberation and recycled plastic counters to reduce the amount of waste produced by the construction of the Cafe. The lighting is up-cycled glass bottles, this also helps to give a soft coloured glow within the seating area as well as helps keep the amount of waste produced by the cafe to a minimum.
Designed in my 3rd year.

Phoenix Centre Shop
The Phoenix Centre is design to help teach and reintroduce the homeless back into society.
The Shop is for the work produced in the Workshops by the members.
The Shop has a frame work display that makes showcasing most pieces of artwork easy. It has shelves, that can be removed, for objects to sit on no matter what the size and then a rail connecting it to the next one which makes hanging up canvases or posters easier too.
